Conflicts can be resolved using many strategies such as facilitation, conciliations, and negotiations. Focusing conflict resolution on only the issues that give rise to the conflicts does not fully address the break in human relations. Forgiveness plays a vital role in is resolving disputes; all the parties agree that the conflict is a relational circumstance and the outcome of failed interactions. I tend to agree with the philosophers that forgiveness is a gift for the person forgiving other than the one being forgiven. Having the heart to forgive helps an individual to improve their health (Hopkins Medicine, n.d.). It enables a person to release bad feelings faster, which can hurt a person's life, relationship, and health. It helps to release the long-term anger that can have a hurtful health effect. Failing to forgive makes an individual live with anger, which, for a long time, can have an impact on one’s heart, increasing pain levels and even leading to blood pressure. Also, it reduces stress and anxiety by helping the person clear up their mind and even negative talks (Hopkins Medicine, n.d.). It helps individuals improve their moods and sense of well-being and enable happiness and happiness to be their primary emotions.
Forgiveness and conflict resolution should be the ultimate goal for all conflict resolutions. Forgiving enables an individual to attract and retain relationships with other people. It helps a person to adore and preserve good relationships. Having the heart to forgive is wonderful as it enables someone to realize past the heart feelings, they are stronger than the minor they face in life. Even though forgiving at certain times is hard, together with reconciliation, it is critical in resolving conflicts. Committing yourself to forgiveness is claiming one owns strength and knowledge that the other individual cannot hurt the real you. By practicing forgiveness, an individual becomes stronger and makes them more whole and healthier. By practicing forgiveness, an individual acknowledges that all individual is imperfect and that we all make mistakes. Embracing the act of forgiving can lead to positive feelings of understanding, sympathy for the other individual. Forgiving someone is always a gift to you but not to the one forgiven.
