LA Confidential is a movie based on the third of four novels by James Elroy, hinged on the epigraph ‘a glory that costs everything but means nothing’. It is a story of a group of police officers in the 1950s, who become mixed up in a myriad of illegal activities including prostitution, corruption, organized crime and drug trafficking.
