God's promise to Abraham had three elements. The first was the people. The promise was that every person who descends from Abraham's lineage would become a great person. The covenant which God made with Abraham was inclusive of his descendants, and God promised to be The God of Abraham and all his descendants. The second elements were the land. God promised Abraham that he would have land, he told him to leave his home to a land that God will show him. This was the land where the prosperity of Abraham and descendants would be found. In this case, too, God told Abraham that the land which he was shown would be his and all his descendants. The land was Canaan. By this time, Abraham was still a stranger in this land; however, the promised gave him Hope of its possession. The last element was Blessing. God promised Abraham that He would bless the whole world through Abraham and his descendants. This is shown clearly that God’s salvation was a universal objective. He wanted to bless the whole world, and He promised to achieve this mission through Abraham. This promise made to Abraham by God made him named the father of a multitude.
God promised Abraham that He and his Descendants would be blessed, shall have a prosperous land also shall be great. Christ is regarded as the son of God and in his teachings; he preached obedience and love of God. Those who follow Him are part of the promises made to Abraham by God and are thus Abraham’s descendants. This may be futile since the law-markers are human beings and can misguide people or deflect their attention from God.
