The contemporary society is such that it is fueled by individualism and greed to the extent that people do not believe the truth anymore, but instead coil their own truth from they are accustomed to hearing to reflect their desires. This would explain the dilution even in the religion and faith people ascribe to. Human beings have deviated from the worship of the true religion and instead come up with creeds, deities, and doctrines that speak of their own desires and perspective. This being the case, it is hard to tell anymore the nature of true worship or religion. It is critical therefore that in the midst of all the religious confusion, one gets accustomed to reading the religious books since the message therein remains unchanged though the spoken interpretations continue to be doctored every which way (Saner, 2010). Instead of listening to the society about the true form of worship, religious books should be used by an individual to determine for themselves which faith they want to ascribe to.

Secondly, it is important that a person forms a spiritual connection with God amidst all the confusion (Weinberg, 2008). He is the only assurance humanity has amidst the storms and turmoil of life. No matter how rich or prosperous one becomes in life, they should never forget to give thanks to God because without Him, all the wealth and success are just vanity. Thirdly, morality plays a big role in defining a person’s personality (Ariely, 2009). One should remain ethical, even in business and refrain from unfair means of achieving profitability, such as cheating, even if there is a high chance that they would get away with it. They may get away with it as far as the law is concerned, but it shall forever be a pain in their conscious. Without love, all that man desires for is vanity. Love for self, one another, and God should always be the pillar and criteria upon which human beings base their actions (Gilligan, 2012). In this regard, they should always act with the best interest of others at heart.
