Explain what the US Constitution means to you and how it relates to your life. 

The American constitution represents the supreme law of the country. It entails the first ten amendments that are reflected as the Bill of Rights. It is for these reasons that the constitution has proved to be flexible, stable and most effective in the current world. In my perspective, the US constitution enhances general welfare of its citizens by granting a common form of defence. It is also used to initiate a peaceful co-existence, and justice as it offers unique protections to defend the liberty of individuals and impose restrictions on leadership. 

I believe that the United States is the way it is because of constitution. Constitution is a bearing that can be used by anybody irrespective of the race, sex, and age. It is like an integrative need that binds people from different races together and give them a sense of direction. It is also vital to understand that the constitution incorporates three major functions. First, it formulates a national government that entails judicial, legislative and executive branch. The second responsibility of the constitution is to divide power between the federal administrations and the states. The third role in regard to what the constitution means to me is to safeguard the freedom of American citizens. The following are ways that depict how the constitution relates to my life;

Evidently, the constitution contributes significantly to my life by protecting my personal rights. For instance, the Fourteenth Amendment protects me from discrimination that relates to sex and race. Constitution challenges me to be committed in aspects that apply to this country and be part of legal actions. For example, through constitution, I have the right to vote, pursue liberty, and express myself. In return, I support the constitution by respecting both local and state laws.
