Ensure Understands the Mission and Vision

It is good to incorporate both the mission and vision statements in the organization handbook as a way of ensuring understanding among all people in the organization. Also, it is necessary to place them on strategic places in the organization where everyone gets to see them as they go on with their day to day activities. Finally, leaders should remind the employees of the mission and vision of the organization from time to time to ensure they stay focused on the ultimate aim of the agency.

Demonstrate Cultural Competence

Cultural competence in a healthcare facility can be demonstrated through the adoption of an integrated workforce. The agency should give equal opportunity to all competent employees despite their backgrounds. Again, the facility should promote integration by developing an official language that all employees can use to communicate effectively despite their language difference.

Data and Records Confidentiality

The confidentiality of data and records in a healthcare facility can be maintained by developing a confidentiality policy that controls the accessibility of the data to the right people through the use of the passwords for the electronic data, storing the physical data under lock and key, and lastly ensuring safe disposal of the sensitive data. Data confidentiality ensures that records are only available for authorized individuals to avoid theft and misuse.
