The COVID-19 Pandemic has hindered our society. Collaborative learning depends on effective communication and other people's influence. According to the social interdependence theory, the accomplishment of goals depends on other people's influence (Tran, 2013). Social distancing has inhibited the social influence that students and employees had in schools and workplaces, respectively. The general transition to online learning to adhere to social distancing hampers the positive influence that would have been possible in the open office situation and traditional learning in the classroom. The impossibility of effective online group learning due to social issues such as anxiety by victims of COVID-19 and lack of access to stable internet hinders individual achievement.
Attention and retention are vital factors in cognitive factors in collaborative learning. Social learning theory analyzes cognitive factors that impact on behaviors (Van Ruler, 2018). Every country is paying attention to COVID-19 effects on their social sectors, such as economy, education, and culture. The behaviors shown by other people will impact either positively or negatively on society in general. People have refuted the approach placed to combat COVID-19 depending on their social perceptions and beliefs. For instance, an adolescent can emulate his or her seniors' behavior by flouting social distance rules. The situation contributes to increased cases of COVI-19 in our societies.

Active communication contributes to the commitment to achieve objectives in society. COVID-19 has led to ineffective communication. The increased application of one way communication to inform the audience has created confusion on the ideal cases of COVID-19 and the measures to take to combat this Pandemic. Through different channels of communication, such as the internet, reception of signals from all directions, has contributed negatively to the collaborative approach on a health issue. Different ways of an understanding of measures placed by governments to combat this Pandemic through different information on the internet and approach is a hindrance towards the successful fight against COVID-19.
