The topic I have chosen is environmental health. Environmental health is presently a subject of discussion due to the multitude of occurrences that relate to the environment and health of living things. It is a topic that seeks justice with all the aspects of built and natural environs that have an influence on the human health. It serves to address all aspects disease and human health that are determined by environmental factors. There are various threats to the validity of research on the various elements of environmental health (Ary, Jacobs, Irvine & Walker, 2018).
Some of the research questions on environmental health include; what are the ways to investigate, measure, sample, and perform an assessment of the hazardous ecological agents in different settings and environmental media? What are the ways to manage and lead environmental health units within different organizations? What are the ways of engaging communities’ members in understanding, addressing and resolve problems in environmental health?

The research method that is to be used is the qualitative method with a little combination of quantitative methods. The qualitative method is expressly significant to community environmental health research (Silverman, 2016). It provides a means and room to produce society narratives that give a voice to persons and characterize the community in a complete and complicated fashion. Experimental random sampling design is explored in the environmental health matters.
One of the significant threats to the validity of research in environmental health is history. That informs the changes the changes in ecological as observed in different time periods (Silverman, 2016). A lack of accountability in the events that occurs between the first and second measurement and analysis can most likely cause a threat to the validity of the research. The next threat to the validity of study is on instrumentation. The continuous change of researchers, observers and scorers has a likelihood of bringing differences in the outcome. Every instrument used in environmental health will produce their view and analysis of the situation at hand. Validation of such kinds of information becomes a nightmare. Another threat is on selection-maturation interaction. Selecting a comparison between groups and maturation interaction possibly lead to confounding results, and an erroneous interpretation. That revokes the validity of the research (Nicholson & Tse, 2015).
Some validity issues are caused by selection biases and experimental design. That incorporates using assumptions on empirical research without proper testing of the data. That has often resulted in lots of mayhem in environmental health and humans in general. Some of the ways to ways to minimize threats to research validity incorporates using the logic of probability statistics. Utilization of random selection and random assignment are vital in reducing the validity threats (Nieuwenhuijsen, 2015).
A project plan in environmental is very crucial in addressing the various concerns and in attaining the research objectives. The program entails general region and contact information, security information for exposure control, individual protective equipment, and attachments and that incorporates evacuation maps and routes (Nieuwenhuijsen, 2015). Part of the environmental health plan includes chemical inventories, target chemicals and list of target equipment’s, supervisor personal-audit checklist, facilities emergency closure plan checklist, and the supervisor’s last signature, declaration and assurances (Yin, 2017). Some of the equipment’s for use include electron microscope, gas chromatograph capture detector, autoclaves, eyewash fountains, compressed gases, heating devices, safety showers, and biosafety cabinets (Nieuwenhuijsen, 2015).
