The company founder was Kiichiro Toyoda in Japan as a division of Toyoda Automatic Loom Works 

Found in 1937 after getting an idea from a visit to the U.S for automobile investigation. 

The company received a boost during the Korean war 

Description of Quality Issue 

Some faulty positioned floormats led to the recall of more than 400,000 cars in 2009. The issue discovered after an accident in California.

Cars are subjected to testing after the production to ensure quality production procedures are observed. 

Implementing Change 

Changes are crucial to evolution. The company embraces change which is investigated and approved to impact the company positively. 

The company has in the recent past engaged in the production of electric cars in support of green technology in environmental conservation (Toyota Sells 1.52 Million Electrified Vehicles In 2017)

Resistance to Change 

With the emergence of various car producing companies, changes mean revolution which is inevitable. 

The company has no history of resisting change. 

The recall of the faulty cars was a measure to prove that the company take consumers' feedback wit seriousness. 

Expected Outcomes 

Being amongst the largest car producing companies, Toyota has a vision becoming the world leader in automobile production while emphasizing on quality. 

Research 

Research has proved that Toyota has set a good record in the past by producing and selling more than 10M units to date. 

The quality of the cars is commendable with a longer lifespan.
