Demographic Traits

The required audience by demography must either be male or female judging from the restrictions of the designations in the RA application form. Therefore, the audience can only comprise of male and female participants as there is no room for the “other” option (Grand Canyon University, 2013). The audience further needs to have already completed the first year of training in RD or RA in a university. The above is true because the application form provides the selective options of either the sophomores, junior or senior positions.

Psychographic Traits

Personally, the application or audience must be caring, social, and passionate about helping people. The application form instructs that the RAs must be willing to work with churches and organizations and undertake voluntary work (Grand Canyon University, 2013). All these duties require individuals that are passionate about helping other people otherwise they cannot work for no money. Secondly, the conditions can only be met by persons that are social because that is the only way they can work in organizations and clubs. In addition, the members must be dedicated in order to go through the gruesome work period of 15 hours every week.

Work Skills

The work skills needed of the audience entail the ability to work with people and work effectively under extreme pressure. It is only possible for the members of the audience to partake in community work if they are good at working with others (Grand Canyon University, 2018). Furthermore, it is imperative that participants work well under pressure because then they are able to work for fifteen hours every week.

Academic Background

The RA and RD positions in the Grand Canyon University demand that one be patient, saved in the Christian faith and faithful. The academic background must thus involve ethics, theology and psychology in order to handle students while they maneuver their dormitories (Kim, 2012).

Setting of work

The potential RAs and RDs work in the Canyon University. Therefore, they are likely to work in a hyped environment considering most young people love to cause menace and make noise as they make merry. It is also evident that these audience stands to work in a serene environment secured by the principles demanded by the University (Grand Canyon University, 2018). However, the most important aspect of the setting they will work in is that it is a Christian environment.

Explanation of the Influence of the Above

The above attributes influence the manner in which I will approach the audience because they insist that the audience is almost similar. A similar audience insists that I can proceed to hold a conference and convey messages without having to make considerations for other members. Therefore, my teachings will be detailed, direct and hence delivered fast.

Integration of Communication and the Christian Worldview

Communication is a crucial part of the world today. It is important to communicate various ideologies and concepts to people. The Christian religion is deeply rooted in the Kingdom of God that serves as both a present and future reality (AllAboutWorldview, 2018). The worldview of Christianity is that it ought to be consistent with the biblical teachings and condemn all practices that are not authorised by the Bible. Communication is thus integrated into the worldview by offering a clear understanding of the role of Christianity in the world.

The Christian worldview is a religious system of belief that emanates from the biblical point of view. The point of view is correlational with the libertarianism or free press theory of communication (Goheen, 2008). According to the theory, everyone must go through the process of self-righting as every person is free to express themselves (Suresh, 2003).

The RD and RA can do well to incorporate the worldview of the Christian religion to communicate with others by employing biblical examples in their conversations. The world expects that a Christian be associated with the bible (AllAboutWorldview, 2018). Therefore, it is only wise that the RDs and RAs use examples from the bible to describe occurrences in the real life.
