Adversity is an unpleasant situation that people experience in their lives ( Proctor, & Reid, 2015 ). It does not mean that when you face adversity that you should give up, people need to understand that they need to gain courage and have hope that things will get better in the future. Further, when things are worse people need to find a way of creating something beautiful that develops into a timeless treasure. Most of the successful people in life have found specific forms of becoming courageous in times of adversity and life challenges do not knock them down but somewhat lifts them up.

Adversity has been of the hardest things I have had to fight, but I have developed a way of responding to it ( Van der 2018 ). First, determining what the situation will teach me ( Holiday, 2014 ). I have been able to understand that pain is just a temporary thing and also an opportunity to learn to improve ( Schmidt, 2017 ). There some critical questions I ask myself, and they are “What caused this?” and “How did I get here?” From this, I have been able to understand to choose curiosity over anger and self-pity ( Pilling, 2015 ). Further, sharing the experience with a friend is a crucial as they help an individual understand the issue at hand.

Secondly, reinventing the future constantly. At this stage, one has to look at the choices available and start asking the following questions “What is the outcome?”, “What stands in the way?”, and “Who do I know has overcome similar situations?” ( Singh, & Sharma, 2017 ). Understanding the obstacle and looking at possible outcomes is essential as one can come up with the best possible solution.

Thirdly, by not getting furious and getting humorously curious. Primarily, humour helps people think creatively and more broadly ( Kouzesn & Posner 2014 ). Humour is essential for the best problem solving and the situation should not be too dangerous.
