Among the social media platforms, Twitter is the most used and preferred one for official communication. Therefore, leaders often use it as a means to express business operations, deliver messages to employees, and send information about enterprise activities. Twitter is a robust tool for communicating all organizational undertakings including managing employees in the business. Taking note of social media dominance by the millennials, it is a particular method of conveying dominance, influence, confidence, and strong moral values in the business premise. 

As best tweeting practices, leaders often use Twitter as a means to share data, wisdom, building relationship, cheering, and even recognizing results as performed by the employees. Therefore, it is crucial for every leader to be engaged in social media to reach out to his or her employees at all times. For example, Steve Down often uses Twitter to cheer people and share wisdom. In this regard, retweeting others’ posts is recommended as a way of showing solidarity, especially important posts. However, the frequency should be moderate as over-tweeting may be dull or under doing it may mean that you are detached from your employees and colleagues. The effect on people can be measured by types of response received out of every tweet. If followers respond in large number, with constructive opinions and likes, then the Tweet was in order and successful.

On the whole, Twitter is an essential social media platform for every leader. Retweeting meaningful posts and moderate use of Twitter is highly recommended. The impact of its use can be measured by determining the quality of response and the frequency of retweets. Noteworthy, some practices such as sharing wisdom, information; and building relations with other workers in the firm are examples of benefits for a leader in utilizing Twitter.
