In this documentary, social life is examined by shedding light on the lives of different individuals in their daily routines, executing the roles they have been assigned at work and responsibilities at home. In many societies, people strive to make a living by trying to do things as fast as possible, and in the process, they tend to overwork their bodies and stretch their minds. The worst part is that some people do not know the pressures that others go through daily, and as such, they treat them without considering their feelings. At home, one is expected to be a parent and a role model to children as well as a wife or husband to a partner who also expects the other to be composed, loving, caring, and stress-free. By looking at the daily routines of different characters at home and work, the film sheds light on the social phenomena of society’s absurdity of making speed a regular practice.
Different forces determine the pace of life, as indicated by the research. A good example is the delivery cyclist whose work is to meet distribution deadlines in her line of work. The interviewee notes that at some point, she rides so fast that she forgets she may be hit by a car. Even though she has all these thoughts, she has no other choice but to increase the pace so that she can earn enough for her family. People do not understand the emotional torture she has to undergo, and as she notes, a nervous breakdown becomes imminent at the end of the day.

As far as the method of data collection is concerned, there is nothing unethical that the producers did. Interviews were done exclusively with the participants, and the portrayal of different scenarios reflecting the pace of life served as vital information to back up the study of the phenomenon. For example, when they take us to the delivery cyclist’s home, we can see that they portray only the information that is relevant for the study. The scene that shows her taking care of the kinds in the morning and preparing them for school is critical for the research. Nothing that should not be broadcasted has been aired for the audience to see, thus showing that the methodology used was ethical.
