The United States Department of Health and Human Service (HHS) is a federal government agency branch at the cabinet-level of the United States of America whose primary role involves focusing on protecting Americans' health and providing them with essential human services. HHS operates on improving health, safety, and the well-being of Americans. HHS became an independent federal agency branch in 1979 due to separation from the federal education department. The chief administration leader of HHS is the "Secretary of Health and Human Services," who is appointed by the U.S. president under the approval of the senate to perform different services in health and human services. 

Health and Human Service agency's population comprises all American citizens, including immigrants, to access health and human services. The agency's mission involves enhancing and protecting Americans' human and health care services. The agency achieves its mission by developing advanced medication, social services, and public health services. The HHS agency controls and monitors Americans' healthcare services, Healthcare technology, and individual's welfare. HHS agency works with eleven other healthcare programs to address the issue of health and human service.

HHS agency strives to attain specific goals in America's community; for instance, HHS focuses on reforming, strengthening, and modernizing the health care system. HHS works closely with private and public health agencies and partners to attain affordable healthcare services with improved access to all Americans. Besides, the agency's investment revenues' help to expand the healthcare employees. Strengthening and expanding healthcare services enables the attainment of high-quality healthcare services for all Americans. As such, HHS ensures that Americans have access to healthcare insurance, which leads to improved access to quality medical and clinical services (Burwell, 2015). Besides, the HHS agency reduces individuals' medical costs expenses, which results in increased savings and access to quality healthcare services. Additionally, HHS strives to improve and modernize public healthcare by generating more primary care providers by approximately 72% in 2025 (Merrick, 2021). The primary care providers comprise physician assistants and nurse practitioners. HHS already works with multiple divisions such as Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, Medicare and Medicaid service centers, Food and Drug Administration, and many more healthcare and human service divisions. 

Another strategic public goal of HHS includes protecting Americans' health. The HHS agency's department has invested more of its funds in healthcare service literacy skills to support Americans in controlling their health. HHS focuses on improving the healthcare environment through the reduction of existing challenges or pandemics to ensure healthy conditions with reduced diseases. HHS attempts to prevent, treat and control communicable and chronic healthcare conditions, which act as a primary healthcare threat. More so, HHS works closely with the healthcare system to address alcohol and illicit drug abuse, which impacts America's population. The agency strives to prevent challenges caused by drugs such as marijuana and cocaine. Drug abuse contributes to increased mental disorders, which impacts America's society. America's HHS agency deploys healthcare measures to address natural illnesses, disasters, and diseases, which pose threats to society (Rubin, 2020). Overall, the HHS agency works closely with America's government to protect all Americans' health and welfare. Some of the healthcare services provided by the HHC agency include affordable medical services through more accessibility to healthcare insurance. Individuals registered with healthcare insurance have easier access to Quality health services paid by their insurance company. America's healthcare society manages to address natural and artificial calamities due to the availability of safety measures. Many American's live happily and safely due to HHS healthcare services.
