The article highlights the contribution that social media has on terrorism across the globe. The main idea presented is that social media has made it easy for a terrorist to access information about their target. Thus, they can easily use the information gathered to their advantage and stage an attack. If people continue to place their news on social media, they are becoming vulnerable to terror attacks. The issue is not only applicable to individual people but also organizations.

The Digital revolution has been essential, but it can be hazardous if it is not adequately handled. Organizations need to be concerned about ways to secure their information from access by a third party or unauthorized people. Technology has made it easy for terror groups to communicate with each other. If communication can be intercepted using the same technology, action can be taken to create contingency plans.

The article suggests that social media is a result of technological advancement. Other than the many gains of the media, such as communication is having been a center for terror groups to stage their coup. Terror stacks through the use of social media have become a reality in the present world. It evolves from the information that we share with other users and the nature of our communication.

It is vital to keep conversations that are sensitive and private out of the social media channels. It is not easy to control what people will post on social media, but there is a need to understand that it puts them at risk. Thus, sensitization on how best to use social media should be a campaign for most organizations. They need to train their employees as a way of curbing exposure to information and terror attacks.
