The mysteries that Richard Rohr talks of are  Quite often, individuals lust for answers pertaining to the ambiguity created by religion and science. Some people choose to believe in the latter while others end up putting their trust in the former. Rohr, however, believes in both mysteries and multiplicity in addition to what others perceive God to be. His religious nature has made him contented with the ambiguity that comes along. As a result, he often partakes in religious rites in a similar way to the rest of the Christians. Rohr further insists that the people who have been through life changing religious experiences appear to be the most humble (Rohr, 2006). They have met the holy and choose to maintain their piety. Contrary to this, those who have not been through such experiences are the ones who pretend that they know more. People with genuine spirits always know that they do not know (Rohr, 2006). A majority of those who do not believe choose to put their trust in theories rather than live with uncertainties.

There are a number of religious mysteries that I have encountered. One such experience is observing as someone who was terminally ill managing to pull through and they are now alive despite the doctors` emphasis that they would not make it. This is an inexplicable experience, far much more than science can ever fathom. At such a point, there is absolutely no doubt that God is in control. He has power over life and chooses who is going to live and who is going to die. Further mysteries have occurred whereby I have found that I have been ill to an extent that no form of medical intervention appears to remedy the situation. Turning to religion, however, and believing that I will be healed, managed to pull me through from the troubling experience. It is all a matter of faith and as long as one believes without seeking for hypothetical answers on everything, then it is highly likely that they will manage to have total control over life.
