A lot of challenges marked post-war Vietnam. The country had been accustomed to political instability and warfare. It was a moment of change and there no structured to help successfully initiate and mitigate the change process. The primary concerns of the people of Vietnam and the government were to rise from the fall and ensure an ethical and sustainable society. However, the many years of war and division did not make it easy to establish a government and restore the political and social shape of the country. One particular challenge was the opposition that developed flowing the efforts by the leaders to create a socialist society in the spirit of North Vietnam. Many had been affected by the American propaganda that the communist will slaughter them. Ho Chi Minh was respected by the people and viewed as a hero who changed the course of the Vietnam nation. America and the rest of the world perceived post-war Vietnam as a sustainable and robust economy that was able to rise above so many challenges. It explains its growing economy as it ensures trade deals with different nation across the world.

The war in Vietnam and before America decided to withdraw developed division that has affected the country to date. During the war, the Vietnamese were divided on what political system to believe and be subjected as some were communist and others thought that socialist was the true expression of social welfare. In the pat-war ear, a war ensured on what system to adopt and which policies to suggest. The political war has made it hard for Vietnam to recover from the destruction as there is no clear indication on which side to follow and the possible repercussions. As a young society, it was likely that it would suffer in the effort to reconstruct itself and push the people to believe in its leaders. The most challenging aspect was the fact that the VCP leaders were suggesting a system that was used by the very political power that denied them freedom.

On the very first day of the post-war era, there was the fall of Saigon’s that represented the unification of North and South Vietnam. The people had a different take on Vietnam as a nation and wanted the best for her; the North Vietnam government wanted to build the country and restore it from a disastrous period. The people wanted to heal from the damages they had sustained during the war. In fact, an assessment of the damaged created in the war period explain why Vietnam took long to recover and resurface in the world economic platform. Vietnam communism is one of the best political ideas in the world. It was a great challenge given that more substantial pollution of the Vietnamese had lived to believe in the filth of communism and the hope presented through socialism. The people of Vietnam as much as they wanted to benefit from the reunification, they also wanted to own their ideas and live by them. It followed a political and social change process that did not fully cover all the interested in the Vietnam society. Despite the new dawn for the Vietnamese, most of them lived in the past and hated the Americans. Even some of the Vietnamese were subjected to torture in the belief that their past contact with the Americans compromised them. America on the other had moved on and forgot about the war only to focus on more important and urgent matters.
