Christianity has its origins in the Roman Empire. The place of origin is the then predominantly Jews Jerusalem. Meanwhile, Muslim started in the Middle East, Mecca in Saudi Arabia. Other Major religions such as Hinduism started in India Buddhism started in East Asia. Sikhism, on the other hand, also started in India just like Buddhism. People practicing religion in my area are humble and giving in nature. Christianity teaches humility an aspect that is emulated in my community by most Christians. To be humble is an accurate reflection of how God is depicted according to the Christian doctrines. For example, most of them observe a courteous life full of humility in line with the story of the Savior's birth. Every day, Christians embark on their chores and later congregate to have sessions that help the needy within the community. Christians engage in daily prayers for their enemies, loved ones and themselves in strict observation of the teachings and life of Jesus Christ. Without humility and the notion that all Christians are a depiction of Gods image, such activities that help the needy and returning to the community would not occur. The ideas that are instilled by Christianity centers on following a righteous path and the right way of life. Christians celebrate Christmas every year on 25 December. It is usually a time of the year when they remember and celebrate the birth of their savior; Jesus Christ. The festive day traditionally oversees great acts of generosity and good deeds among the Christian world. People, in my town, for example, use this time to give to the needy and visit the sick in hospitals. The US foreign policy weighs in a lot on the importance of religion on its policy in the Middle East. The Iran Nuclear deal, for example, got a cold reception from Sunni leaning Muslim nations such as Saudi Arabia and Qatar (Hanegraaff, 1997).
Religion is so paramount in current affairs that it is sometimes used to rally for support for victims of drought and refugees. The conflicts in some Muslim countries saw other not affected countries open their doors for a massive influx of refugees that followed the disputes. Nations including The United Arab Emirates and Qatar set aside funds and resources including setting up tented homes for the refugees. Some countries sharing a common religion are known to come together and set their foreign and domestic policies. Such countries include the Muslim counties of the Middle East and Northern Africa. It is arguable that the Western world is also united under predominant Christianity (Haynes, 2009).

In conclusion, religion is a big factor in human nature. There are many religions the world over reflecting racial, ethnic and sometimes geographical differences around the world. Every religion has a great emphasis on human dignity and peace. However, some elements of particular faiths become radicalized and view their version of religion as the only acceptable to God. Such people are known as fundamentalists religious fanatics. Unfortunately, some of those radicals resort to illegal and underhand methods to try to promote their religions. Some of those methods have led to the emergence of hate and dangerous groups in what has become widely known as terrorism. Terrorism has claimed many lives around the world. It is arguable that every religion has suffered negatively from acts of terrorism. Terrorism should not be associated with any one type of religion since such a move will be playing into the terrorists hate agenda. All peace loving people should equally and in one voice and stance condemn terrorism.
