The three essential relationship qualities that are required to enhance our relationship with others or anyone are genuineness, love, and empathy. Genuineness is described as the quality which allows you to be ourselves. We live in a world where it is common to mask our true self and show people the version of us we think they want to see. However, it is essential in our Christian lives to be genuine or sincere in our conduct, behaviors, and approach to issues (Wright, 1989). Putting on an act for people and failing to portray real qualities is a hindrance to a successful relationship especially when we fail to represent what we think others want from us.
For the development of successful relationships and interactions the others, it is vital for any person to have love for others. Love can be explained and understood as more than a feeling but an attitude or act done out of the will. Thus, in relating with others, love requires deliberate action to interact with others having their best interests in our hearts and mind (Wright, 1989). As a key to relations with others, love means being there for people even those who are considered delicate and hard, those that we find being unlikeable should be the ones to light up the light in us.

Being empathetic is the third vital qualities a person requires to get along with others. Empathy requires me to put myself in other people’s situation and to view it from their perspective. Empathizing with others is usually tricky because we want others to see from our perspectives and being humans, our selfish nature causes us to see ourselves as always right which pushes us to judge and at time condemn other ruining our interactions (Wright, 1989). Based on the significance of empathy o life as an individual and as a requirement of us from God, it is critical to emphasize with others.
The three essential qualities for relating to others apply personally to my life situation. Being genuine with others has caused many relationships to be a success while lack of sincerity has seen an ending to others. By learning the value of being authentic in relationships and daily interactions, I have been able to lead a Godly life which has facilitated and enhanced my relationship with others. I have deliberately put out my beliefs as a Christian and being intentional on my faith with actions to display my stand and take in matters. Many of my relationships have prospered, and I have also been able to form new relationships even with strangers for being who I am.
Love is one of the most essential qualities in relationship and interactions with others. Personally loving others has always been easy due to my carefree nature and understanding the love of God for me and hence the need for me to love others. However, loving the unlikeable and challenging people do not come out easily and have had to be more intentional and specific showing love to those in need, those who are resistant and difficult to address(Sprecher & Fehr, 2005). Empathy has been an essential quality in my Christian life, in my practices as a follower of Christ; I have at many times chosen to see others as Christ sees them which has made my relationships flourish. Sincerity, love, and empathy have played a significant role in my relationships and interactions helping to build my faith embrace fellowship, accept correction and increase in knowledge of God as the qualities reflect His nature and also learn about others and hence relate and interact from an informed perspective ensuring wonderful and fulfilling relationship.
