Watch & Respond to the Video on Bullying

The video provides a new outlook into bullying as a social vice, and how different societies perceive of bullying from a sociological perspective. The video is related to the narrative in the sense that they both elucidate the key social concepts like accommodation, beliefs and assimilation as the major factors underpinning the response to the behavior of bullying. The video defines how the society is accommodative with regards to the behavior of bullying, where some people are not concerned in any way in the event that they are proximal to an incident of bullying (Kendall, 2015). On the other hand, some people have certain concepts and ideas that define the human experiences, which are negative beliefs on the act of bullying and would rather respond by physically confronting the bully. These sources depict the fact that diversity in cultural orientation defines diversity in social responses to vices like bullying. 

Assimilation is also a social concept that is evident both in the book and in the video, where it is elucidated as the process by which the whole culture can be altered within positive respects with the major reason of conforming to a dominant culture. The norms of the culture do not conform to the ethical requirements, where the video and the book takes account the reformation process that can accommodate the ethical norms with regards to the vice of bullying. It is also evident that the author and the cast both humanize sociology with practical experiences displayed in the life of people (Kendall, 2015). It is evident that the book and the video show the reaction of the human being in response to the social concerns like that of bullying. Overly, both the book and the video have the content that illuminates the text’s main theme of bullying, and the application of the concepts of sociology as a form of interaction between individuals across the globe.
