Typically, diversity is a topic of contention in today’s world. The emergence of different cultures, tribes, religion and races has increased diversity. The purpose of a diversity Event is to helps unify this different cultures by showcasing their talent. There are various performances and events which are held annually. Edwards Theatre held a performance named the battle of the beats with the aim of bringing different diverse cultures. The Diversity event started with songs and dances from various people. It later proceeded to the main event of the night battle of the beats. Battle of the beats is an art that uses words to create rhythm and express various ideas. The technique was called freestyle rapping. Artist freestyle on a particular beat. They use their wild imagination to showcase their freestyle ability. Different artist from different culture used their unique style to showcase their diversity. The essay will focus on the battle of the beats and its role in unification in the diverse cultures. 

Battle of the beats portrays the image of diversity in cultures. Battle of the beats was an art invented by African American. The African Americans used this as there ways to express themselves as a diverse culture in the world. African Americans were people who were significantly oppressed in America. They were exposed to extreme racism and slavery in the early 90s . The African American started freestyling with the aim to bring out oppression of their cultures. Different rappers used different ways to showcase their talent and express their view on oppression and slavery. During this time African Americans were greatly killed and jailed since they were foreigners in their own country. The African American started rapping as their way of airing there view to the world of their oppression. This later brought to an end of oppression and unified Americans and the whites as they both started to engage in the art. This transformed into an art in the modern world as more as more people continued rapping. Rappers told a story in their song. Every person in the battle of the beats has a different background. They use this to create flow while freestyling. Their past experiences form a basis while there freestyling. Each battle of the beat portrays a different image while on stage and bring out the diversity in cultures.

In the battle of the beats, people use emotions and feeling to express their view. A beat appropriately delivered the rapping rhythm. Emotion and feeling tend to be created to a person reaction towards a particular topic. The rapper tries to create rhythm in the flow of the rapping using pre-written words. The African Americans expressed various views of various culture. How they are oppressed been a minority in America. The jailing of various African American was a top of contention. African Americans were not given equal opportunity as the whites they were racially segregated. The inequality in the country was quite high. The rappers discussed topics of contention addressing a crowd. In the battle of the beats, many rappers talked about the oppression of the African American. They said how the joining together of their culture would help grow the country as a new world. 

Also, the social organization as multiculturalism is represented. Different backgrounds have brought about increased diversity. This diversity is shown by the different ways of freestyle that they use. Everyone was not brought up the same way, thus the difference in ethnicity and view of the world. The artist takes the ideas and put them into words on the spot. The ideas form a basis for creating flow and rhythm. Each artist way of rapping is different from another artist. The artist portrayed the diversity of cultures in the country. Social organization and multiculturalism are different in different people due to their background and mode of upbringing. 

The main mission of the diversity event is to bring together people of different cultures in the society. This was covered in the battle of the beats as it represented multiculturalism and social organization. Representation of different people with different ideas was portrayed. The battle of the beats expressed emotion and feelings of different diverse cultures in the society. Finally battle of the beats portrays different cultures and the importance of these cultures in the community. The battle of the beats was helpful in the unification of the diverse culture in the society. The diversity event is quite important in the today’s world as the event airs the problems of the oppressed culture. The event was really helpful as the participant really aired the views on cultural diversity in the world. In conclusion, the battle of the beats main aim was to showcase the diverse events the community. The different cultures help in the creation of a society. The Main Event aim was to show that people are the same despite their different cultures
