Becoming a successful entrepreneur requires one to have a robust set of essential principles and skills. To begin with, there are personal characteristics or principles an individual should have including being optimistic, take the initiative, listen more and talk less, be resilient, and develop the appropriate ethics (Brännback & Carsrud, 2015) . Stay focused on one thing and do the best. Before initiating a business, get complete knowledge. Avoid looking too far ahead this is to ensure one is no overwhelmed. Know when to continue and when to walk away. Risk-taking; be sure of the risks, when to take and when not to make them. Managing the risks taken. Reduce fear and have visualized goals (Drummond, 2009) . Planning the available finances. Knowing the customers and listening to their complaints.

I believe an entrepreneur is equal to being an own boss, from the idea I understand that my business's success depends on the effort I put.
