From the site, the most favourite strategy that I might adopt is, asking the audience questions. A simple question is one of the most versatile techniques to make a presentation successful. A speaker is always anxious since they feel that they are under the spotlight of the audience who tend to evaluate them. Interestingly, introducing question during the speech will help the speaker gain confidence on every aspect of the presentation. It is clear that questions that are well-timed can substantially accomplish myriad of communication task, for instance, it might help calm one’s speaking anxiety, build intrigue to foster audience engagement, and lastly, it might help the speaker to remember what exactly to say.

Audience connection through the use of questions is one of the core factors that will distinguish a memorable speaker from an average presenter. The speaker will be able to foster engagement which will make the speech interesting for both the speaker and the audience. It is clear that questions during a speech by their nature are dialogic where the speaker will pose a question, and the audience will try to respond to it. The same will go on often throughout the speech hence making it a success, and it will deliver the intended message on a given issue efficiently.

It is critical that the speaker uses various types of questions to get the attention of the audience. Rhetorical questions, for instance, are vital since they help to build intrigue. Asking them questions specifically for effect prompts the, to deeply think about the issue. On the other hand, polling questions will make the audience part of the major point raised in the speech. Lastly is the “what if” questions which might be of greater importance because they will help to root the presentation in time. As is the case with the rhetorical question, this might not necessarily expect a literal response.
