A well-constituted workplace provides equal opportunity for advancement for its workers to facilitate a healthy environment that translates to sufficient and efficient effort towards meeting organizational goals. The initial parts of the YouTube video “White Professionalism in the Workplace, Presented by Kathleen McLean '92” explores the concept of white professionalism in a workplace providing characteristics such as sense of urgency, defensiveness, quantity over quality, worship of the written word, power hoarding, and right to comfort. The latter stages explore the “Take Action” theme followed by the “Questions and Answers” section. The clip is relatable by highlighting white supremacy occurring in workplaces. It is equally objective by providing information on how to tackle the adversity, that is, being a change agent to facilitate person-oriented reforms. The video is relatable by providing the characteristics of white supremacy at workplaces including sense of urgency, defensiveness, quantity over quality, worship of the written word, power hoarding, and right to comfort. The mentioned components are dangerous to American society considering they propagate white supremacist thinking which goes against progress through equality for all. They equally create an unhealthy environment where the system does not reward individuals based on competency and much-needed skills. Such ideals are relatable. In an organization that I worked for before, I witnessed the sense of urgency characteristic whereby crucial matters would be left overlooked such as imbalances based on racial demographics subject to “meeting deadlines.” The video is equally objective in providing ways to handle white supremacy at workplaces. Every individual (I included) can confront such issues in workplaces by being an agent of change by speaking out against them. In the contemporary age with social media, being a positive voice will facilitate person-targeted reforms given systemic reforms are not working.  The video is relatable and objective in exploring the issue of white supremacy in workplaces and providing means to handle the issue. Inequality in organizations is a social concern that requires the input of every individual from heads to subordinates to rectify. Positive change will transform how our workplaces function and eradicate white supremacist ideals that affect us all.
