Being a chaplain has been my biggest desire, and achieving it would be a dream come true. I want to be a U.S Army Chaplain because I know it is an important ministry in my life, and it would benefit the lives of soldiers and their families. I know that this is my calling, and the Lord has called me to be his servant. When I felt like my life was coming to an end from the many challenges I had faced, I took time to pray to God and asked him for direction, and it is there that I felt his presence, and I knew right from there that I wanted to serve him. He brought around people who would mention me to becoming what I want in life, and Apostle Daniels was one great person who held my hand then and taught me more about Jesus and salvation. I intend to be a chaplain and ensure that I serve others and direct them to the ways of the Lord, and this year 2021, has given me the chance to serve others selflessly, and as I do so, over 500 people have given their lives to the Lord. This has pushed me more to pursue my dream of becoming a chaplain, and since I have very great mentors, I know I will achieve the dream.
I often find myself asking why I want to be a chaplain, and the book of 1st peter 5:5 reminds me that we should be of service to one another, and I get my answer, I need to become a chaplain to serve others. I am called to do this ministry by the many challenges I have been through, and I feel that I need to hold some else hand who is going through many challenges and feels like giving up in life, especially during this time of the pandemic. Many people are pushed to the wall, and they want to be given hoped and encouraged that the Lord still loves them, and being a chaplain will place me in a better position of giving more people hope.

When I think of the Army values, loyalty becomes one of the best values as I believe I need to be loyal to my calling and become a chaplain to ensure that I serve the soldiers, civilians, the rich, and the poor without discrimination. Duty is also a value in the army, and when I become a chaplain, I will take it as my duty to serve the Lord and people. Being in the military for 15 years, I am called to this ministry by my experiences as a soldier and the many struggles I have faced while learning to live like a civilian. My struggles in the love life have pushed me to this calling. I want to be a chaplain because my walks upon the earth and the relationship I have with God have prepared me for the call. I want to be a chaplain because the book of 1 John 4:8 tells us that God is love, and displaying it to those that need it will bring hope to those people with suicidal thoughts, low self-esteem, and those who are on the verge of giving up on their lives. This ministry will help me bring hope and display the love of God to all those who feel like the Lord has distanced himself from them.
I have achieved an associate in applied science 2009 Wayland Baptist University; Bachelor of Science and Human Resource certification 2014; Minister Ordination License 2016; Maters Divinity and Theology; Certified Prepare and Enrich Facilitator Certified SYMBIS Facilitator 2020 and 2021. All these will help me in achieving my calling to serve the Lord and his people as a chaplain, and therefore, I request you grant me the honor to become the U.S Army chaplain.
Yours faithfully,
