In OLCU 487, creating an e-portfolio was an important assignment because it allowed students to think creatively and critically about their personal and academic achievements (Cambridge, 2010). Many students never know what to carry to the interview table until they begin the job search process. At this point, they often scramble to get quality pieces of information, which will speak to their expertise, interests, and skills. By constructing an e-portfolio as students’ progress through their education, they can preview their projects, assignments, and accomplishments and determine which pieces best exemplify their experience and talents (Cambridge, 2010). The strategy allows them to edit as they progress.

I would like to include podcasts in the e-portfolio. The school should provide students with the necessary assistance and materials to help record our podcasts. This assignment would be more interesting if students are allowed to listen to each other’s podcasts and evaluate them based on how much they are appealing. I want to apply this podcast technology to describe and publish each level coursework, scopes and any opportunities associated with the course on the webpage (Cambridge, 2010).
How will you use this portfolio after completing OLCU 487 and graduating?
After completing OLCU 487 and graduating, I will start the job searching process. At this time, my resume and cover letter would not be good enough, as they do not represent what I am capable of, particularly in creative areas (Cambridge, 2010). Howvwer, the two documents are irrelevant. Because I am interested in displaying numerous years of hard work and capturing employers’ interests in the future, then, the e-portfolio would be the way to go.
