As part of the EMBA community, one of the fundamental elements that inform my drive to be a strong contributor relates to practicing what I preach. The contemporary marketplace is characterized by innovations that are continually changing. To ensure appropriate adoption of suitable innovations that would assist in leveraging the power of the market and creating lasting value for the consumer, it is important to be persistent. A considerable number of entrepreneurs consider solving problems that exist in the society as one of the elements that drive them to come up with unexpected business insights. For this reason, brave leaders take time to come up with and implement excellent ideas that can solve some of the problems they encounter. The EMBA community provides the courageous leaders with an opportunity to explore these ideas, consequently creating strong organizations that have lasting value.
The argument presented above resonates with my decision and brevity after deciding to join Zenagen, a startup of a professional beauty line. Brave leaders are those that are willing to take risks and to implement different practices that are pivotal to the realization of the success of the organization. For instance, in my career, I have been able to apply my skills capabilities to several roles and organizations. The implementation of my skill and abilities has made it possible for me to rise above some of the predetermined leadership expectations, stand out, and be different from my peers. For instance, I chose to leave my role as a leader in a prestigious advertising agency to join Zenagen. As a startup, the company had only two employees with zero revenue. However, by implementing suitable growth strategies, the company has grown to have more than 100 employees, with gross annual sales of $10,000,000.

The experience I have gained from leading the organization has enabled me to learn and implement practices that can lead an organization to warranted growth. I believe that the knowledge and experience I have gained over time, in addition to the interactions with other EMBA students, will enable me to work towards moving forward in my career journey. The reason for considering the idea that my interaction with individuals in the EMBA community will strengthen my value proposition rests on the provision that people bring about different experiences that could be used as lessons that would enhance my bravery in executing my leadership responsibilities. On the other hand, the opportunity to share some of my experiences with the members of the community will be fundamental to ensuring that other people pick up suitable lessons that will enable them to leverage the market power in their respective industries, consequently creating lasting value for their organizations.
One of the challenges that I have faced in my position as a leader was related to the creation and maintenance of positive relationships among the employees. Throughout the years, I have gained insightful perspectives on the best way possible to get rid of leadership challenges, which are primarily brought about by communication issues. Even though abolishing leadership challenges is a never-ending process, the implementation of an open system of communication with the employees is one of the key strategies that can ensure that employees are happy with their roles in the organization. When the employees are happy and comfortable working in the establishment, the work quality will not suffer. For this reason, the MBA community is likely to provide me with the opportunity to build on these strengths and to work towards the realization of organizational success.
