Minorities in policing forms an important aspect of policing that focuses on how the minorities are treated in the law enforcement departments around the world. We are going to analyze various police department and compare and contrast the manner in which minorities are considered ( Hanser & Gomila,2015) .looking at the National Black Police Association, it comprises of African American Police Associations from sub-regions and are dedicated to fairness, effectiveness, and justice in the law enforcement departments in every region. NBPA represent the minority in the law enforcement department and focuses on training and development of police officers.
The International Association of Women Police training, professional development, mentoring, recognition and networking of women police globally. The National Association of Women Law Executives was established with the aim of identifying the needs of women in high positions in the law enforcement. It serves the interest to enhance further the identification of the unique needs of those women who aspire to rise higher in the law enforcement. NAWLEE has been able to support women who are in senior management positions through training that concern management, leadership, and administrative roles.
The Gay Officer Action League (GOAL) was established to advocate for rights of gay and Lesbians in policing. It was formed to fight for discrimination against those who were gay or lesbians in the law enforcement. The Transgender Community of Police and Sheriffs was also formed to support GOAL through the provision of education, information networking, and support opportunities. In the law enforcement, there are many police officers who live different lives behind the badge, and it is the work of TCOPS to identify and support them.
Hispanic Police Officers Association is another community that was formed with the aim of unifying and educating police officers. This community works by stimulating and inviting members who are in the Law enforcement to join and participate in achieving their mission. The National Native American Law Enforcement Association is another community that focuses on unity, courage, and strength. NNALEA was formed with the aim of promoting and fostering cooperation between the public and the American Indian Law enforcement officers (Cohen, 2017).
NYPD Shomrin society is a Jewish organization that is planning and carry out charity activities to help those are affected by national disasters. This association was formed by the Jewish Officers in the Law Enforcement. Sikh Officers Association is a group of fraternal, religious association, formed with the aim of fighting for the recognition of Sikhs in the law enforcement. The association of Sikhs in the law enforcement aims to develop a fraternal band among all the Sikhs in policing.
Taking a look at the above analysis on policing communities, it is clear that these associations are formed with the aims of strengthening and fostering recognition of minorities in the law enforcement (Henry, 2017) . The common objective of these communities is to enable the law enforcement to recognize women, Black Americans, Gay and Lesbians, Jewish, Sikhs, Hispanics and the natives. Formation of these communities was based on the realization of racism, discrimination, gender inequality and injustices in the law enforcement units globally. Therefore these communities fight for the rights of officers and ensure that there is equality in duty sharing and promotion.
The only difference in these policing communities is the category of officers under the community. For example, while GOAL fights for the rights of Gay and Lesbians, IWAP on the other hand firths for the rights of women in the law enforcement. The views on the websites of each community contribute to the policing philosophy of enhancing equality in the law enforcement around the world (Kahn & Martin, 2016) .
