Republic elections are important in Texas as they offer the public a chance to participate in selecting the candidates that will represent them in the political party. These primaries are also important in Texas as they give the public the chance to vote for their policy ideas. These primaries are important as they help citizens to produce political figures that will play important roles in national politics. Voting in Texas is a way that citizens perceive that their rights are being honored as they get the chance to exercise their rights by choosing their preferred candidates. Additionally, Republican primaries help political leaders in the party have a chance to listen to the opinions of their followers. When political leaders get the opportunity to listen to the opinions of their supporters through voting, they are in a position to understand what these people want. Texas used several ways to restrict people from voting. One of the main way used was restricting the voting rights to people grounded on their race, color, or their previous state of slavery. These conditions restricted a large group of people from voting since they did not want to have people with these conditions voting. Also, Texas used the failure of people to pay any poll tax or any other tax to the federal government as a way of restricting people from access to voting. These restrictions were lifted as they were found to deny people their human rights. Additionally, these restrictions were lifted since they were found to discriminate against some individuals against others. As a result, there was no balance in how people were treated.

Some of the requirements to vote in Texas include; you must be United States citizen Being a United States citizen means that one needs to have a national identity card that belongs to the United States government. You must be an occupant of the county where you applied. This requirement suggests that an individual must be living or be a resident of the country or state they want to vote for. The voter must be 18 years old on Election Day. You must not be a convicted felon. In this case, you must have completed your sentence or parole. You must not be declared as mentally or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote. Voting in Texas is only participated by individuals who have been verified to be mentally and physically fit.

Similarly, they are used to ensure that the party is in a comfortable state financially. It caters for travel expenses that involve campaigning from one place to the other. It is also used for a stationery expense that is used to print campaign posters. In most cases, the candidates may not be in a position to reach all the citizens as they campaign; therefore, they look for individuals who might help them mobilize others at a small fee. In such cases, political leaders campaigning should have finances to cater for such expenses. More so, it is used for accommodation expenses since campaigners travel from one place to another. Campaign money can also be used to cater for the duties of a candidate as a federal holder of the office.
