Black Kids
The first broad inequality is the issue of racial discrimination. The opening clause of the book observes that the black children still sit together and separately from the other races at the school cafeteria. The racial disparity, mostly between the black and white communities in the United States of America, has and continues to be an issue of significant concern as the country embraces the fight against discrimination based on color (Tatum, 2017) . From a conflict theory perspective, the problem of racial discrimination is not just about conformity and consensus but also domination and power.
