In 2017, Kenya had a GDP of $ 74.94 billion. France is a country located in Europe. In 2017, France had a GDP of $ 2.58 trillion. The GDP per capita of Vietnam is $ 2,343.12 (The World Bank, 2019) . The difference in the GDP per capita among the four countries is as a result of their varying GDP strengths and the population of the nations. The following is the graphical representation of the GDP per capita of the four countries.

The percentage of people living below the poverty line in the United States of America in 2017 was 12.3. In the same year, 44.2% of Kenyans lived below the poverty line. In the same year, 14.2 of the population in France were living below the poverty line while only 6.8% of the people in Vietnam lived below the poverty line in 2017. From a functionalist theoretical perspective, the society of Vietnam is made up of interconnected parts that have helped the country work in harmony to alleviate poverty. The following is the tabular representation of the poverty levels in the four countries.

Percentage of people living below the poverty line in 2017

Kenya  44.2
United States of America  12.3
Vietnam  6.8
France  14.2

The percentage of the literate population in the United States of America is 99%, which is similar to that of France. The literacy rate for the Kenyan population stands at 78% while that of Vietnam is at 97.3% (The World Bank, 2019) . The literacy rate of a nation is contributed by factors such as the availability of learning opportunities and the amount of money that a country invests in education. The literacy rates in a country are related to the social interactionist model, which states that human beings and society shape one another at different levels. The investment in education in both the United States of America and France has resulted in the rise in civilization as people interact in society. A more literate and civilized country is reported to have a boost in its financial performance in terms of the GDP and the GDP per capita which the United States of America and France have reasonably been the best on the list of economic aspects outlined in the paper. The following is the tabular representation of the literacy rates of the four countries.

Country  Literacy rate
United States of America  99%
France  99%
Vietnam  97.3%
Kenya  78%

Black Kids

The first broad inequality is the issue of racial discrimination. The opening clause of the book observes that the black children still sit together and separately from the other races at the school cafeteria. The racial disparity, mostly between the black and white communities in the United States of America, has and continues to be an issue of significant concern as the country embraces the fight against discrimination based on color (Tatum, 2017) . From a conflict theory perspective, the problem of racial discrimination is not just about conformity and consensus but also domination and power. For a long time, the white race has been viewed as superior to the black community, a topic that has resulted in a series of research aiming at proving that all races are equal in the country. According to Jones (2018), the issue of racism has affected the United States of America and continues to be an issue in the current world, although at a lower degree than in the past.

The other broad inequality pointed out in the prologue is the religious differences. In today's America, most of the people are either Christians or Muslims. The attention of racial discrimination has shifted to religious discrimination with the Muslim mostly related to the terrorist attacks not only in the United States of America but also in the other parts of the world. After the September 11, 2011, attack in the United States of America, the country has had an anti-Muslim sentiment and is not considered welcoming to the growing Islam population in the country. The conflict theory can be used to address the same issue with the Christians in the country seeking to dominate over the Muslims.
