From a literary perspective, worldview is the “view of the world.” Every person has a different worldview with attitudes that are ever changing. Our worldview explains to us the way we live and view life through the beliefs and assumptions that we associate with to make sense to us. Different experiences and sources such as education, religious sectors, family, or the internet influence our worldview perception. The very different influences and experiences with my family, society and the world around me have shaped my Biblical Christian worldview.

I am a Christian, and I believe in the biblical Christian worldview. I believe in the Existence of God, who is the creator of everything that exists. There is the Biblical proof of His existence in John 1:1, the Book of Genesis and Revelation 22:13. God’s creation proves that He exists. As Christians, we maintain that God is different from other people, the universe, and nature.

The general beliefs that make my worldview shape the way I see the world and also influence the decisions and judgments I make, my thoughts, and other beliefs that I come across. A Christian worldview identifies a higher Being who is the creator and is watching us all the time. From this worldview, creating is a continual process, and because the process is God, He is part of the world. Thus, since the plan of God’s redemption includes the humans, Christians make sure to live in the God’s environment carefully and lovingly. This view is different from other worldviews.

A Christian worldview acts as a driving force in my life, it gives me a sense of the plan and purpose of God for this world and in my life, shaping my identity. The scripture confirms that there is God, He has always been from the beginning, and that through His actions and words were spoken in the history, we are guided. Although people may see this worldview as escapism, in different life situations, it is an energizing motivation faithful thinking and Godly acts even in the midst of challenges and struggles. It gives us hope and confidence in facing the future.

My biblical Christian view helps in providing a background for ethical thinking and act. In John 1: 14, Christians read that God made humans in His image, and as moral beings, they have to show love, grace, holiness, goodness, and truth in their acts as Jesus Christ did. Originally, after God’s creation, everything was good but today sin has entered among non-believers affecting His creation to becoming imperfect. The wickedness of human beings as civilization made God regret why He created us (Genesis 6:6). He was ready to wipe the human race from earth, but Noah and later Jesus Christ saved us. Through the Christian view, there is hope for the future and forgiveness, He is a merciful God and forgives when we come to Him. In this 21st century, civilization is becoming a source of evil especially with technology is steadily growing. As Christians, we chose to use it to either fulfill our role as God’s creation or become part of the worldly pleasures that will eventually set aside from God. Using the Christian worldview, one can balance civilization and maintain God’s purpose. Christians look at their lives and take advice from the scriptures for guidance.

A worldview should offer a way to live that is dependable with reality through the offering of understanding on areas of life. A Christian worldview provides a clear idea of seeing the world distinct from materialism, deism, and naturalism, but instead following God’s plan.
