Objective Elements.

The objective elements used included the BMI measure, blood sugar level, muscle mass, and lymphocyte count. Mary recorded a healthy body mass index, which shows that she is not overweight or underweight. The blood sugar level was also within the normal range and showed no sign of excess sugar in the blood ( Jarvis, 2015 ). However, a physical examination shows that Mary has had hair loss, and her skin is turning pale.

Interviewee 2

The second interviewee is John, a 56-year old man and a father of two, who works as an accountant at an organization located over 25 kilometers away. He is the father to Mary, the first interviewee.

Subjective Elements

For the last one year, John has been on diabetes medication, making him visit the hospital regularly, but his condition keeps worsening. However, his last hospitalization was six months ago and responded well to medication. Besides, he developed ulcers two years ago and has been managing the condition. He is currently under antacid drugs for ulcers. John says that he visits healthcare facilities frequently for examination, with his last being two weeks ago. During these periods, he has not shown any new condition. John is allergic to foods that have a lot of fats and cholesterol. He develops rashes on his face when he takes such foods. John has a gym session three days a week and has a personal fitness trainer. He has a physically fit body and looks energetic. On family history, John says that his father died of kidney failure five years ago. However, he has not experienced any kidney problems throughout his life. Occasionally, John develops stomach complications and constipation after eating certain meals. He has never undergone any surgery and lacks a history of high blood pressure.

Objective Factors

John has the right BMI and does not seem underweight or overweight. His blood sugar level is, however, high due to his diabetic condition ( Jeejeebhoy et al., 2015 ). John shows no problem with his renal function and lymphocyte count. A physical examination shows that John shows a lot of fatigue. He complains of increased and frequent thirst as well as frequent urge to pass urine, which are symptoms associated with diabetes.
