Violence is not an effective way of ending something disruptive. From the readings, I realized that it is impossible to stop something like terror with the use of equally violent means. From the talking point of Elworthy (2012), the reign of various dictators such as those in Germany and other nations (who initially believed in violence) ended. People came to realize that violence does not help ( Brickell, 2015) . The nonviolence technique is the most effective method of ending disagreements.
Also, I have embraced various methods that can be used to end violence. Nagler denotes six principles, which can be utilized to stop violence including looking for win-win conditions as well as careful use of power (n.d.). Notably, everyone must be involved in the peace process. As stated in the presentation by Gilley (2012), it is easier to find a long lasting solution when all the involved parties are participating in the peace process. However, something I noted from the readings and videos is that people often try to use force to quell the effects of extreme violence, which in turn results into more devastating impact. Take, for example, the cases in the Middle East, where abuse is rampant. The use of force to silence the warring groups often ends in more damages.

In summary, the world should embrace the use of nonviolent methods to bring peace and prosperity in the world. The only way people can thrive economically is through embracing things that foster peace and well-being. Nonviolent solutions to terror attacks promotes peace and prosperity.

The persistence required to face extreme violent situations such as those of Syria. Some areas, such as Syria have extreme violence in the streets and the approach of peace may not easily work in such areas.
Humanity can thrive in a nonviolent society. Violence exists all over.
Extreme force cannot quell the violence. It is hard to believe that terror attacks such as those f Al Qaeda can cease to happen if government embraces the peaceful process.

It can be implemented in any setting right from society set up by educating the locals on the benefits of nonviolent means of communication.
Secondly, it can be used to solve cases of conflicts.
1 Comment, question, and/or other areas you wish to explore
An area that may need exploration is whether it is possible to use nonviolence means to solve terror issues in the Middle East, especially regions of Islam who believe in jihad. How often are they capable of embracing peaceful means of resolving conflicts without force?
