Introduction
January 14, 2020, Maggie, my aunt, brought her fourth dog to her home. However, Maggie is undecided on how to wash her dogs; she always feels back pain. I observed Maggie bending back drastically when washing her dogs in the yard and after my investigation, her strained muscles often cause back pain; strain commonly occurs with incorrect action and sudden awkward movements (Deyo, 2014). Also, strain can also result from over-activity (Minnis, 2019). An example is the sore feeling and stiffness that occurs after a few hours of wash work. Long term effects possible due to this, which may include a diminished ability to flex the back (Swezey & Calin, 2006). Therefore, I am progressing with my project to help her release her back pain while washing her dogs by providing her with an adjustable pet grooming table.
Progress
I have completed six deliverables of my project objectives. By March 10, I was able to identify the problem and came up with the project title. Between March 10 and April 1, I managed to write my research proposal and submitted to my client. The proposal was approved and was confirmed to move on with the project. After approval, I did the planning and item selection within a span of one week. I could not make the table on my own following the closure of shops which could make me not to acquire the materials. Therefore, I identified a suitable adjustable pet grooming table online (James, 2007), where I purchased it from the Amazon stores at a cost of $10. The selection process took me a week from April 1 to April 10 since I had to compare different products to identify the one that would best suit my aunt. In addition, the shipping of the product is on progress. The shipping procedure delayed because of the system inefficiencies in different parts of the country as a result of the effect of the COVID-19 (Schoolov, 2020). Therefore, I am expecting to receive the product this week. When I receive the product, I will test it and to check if it will actually fit Maggie and address her situation. I am expecting that the test process will last for two weeks, after which I will check if improvements for the product will be required. I am also expecting that all the processes will be completed by the end of April.
