While a world without spoken language seems to be unfathomable, some of the most valuable relationships and deep emotions are those which do not require spoken language. Sometimes, leaving things unsaid gives more impact on relationships and friendships. The proponents of spoken language argue that society is made by socialization, interactions, and continuity achieved through spoken languages (Moore, 2017). Words have made it possible for people to easily communicate with each other and to express emotions in a way that would not be possible without spoken languages. Spoken language forms a structure, pattern, and meaning which make communication easy and effective. In this paper's view, however, the world would not only survive without spoken language but it would also have people who are more genuine and sincere with each other.
One important thing about a world without spoken language is that humans would not get misled with the maze which comes with the spoken language. Often, spoken language can be used to mislead, lie and confuse. Without the words, the only thing that would remain for humans would be the intention of the communication together with the actions of humans (Moore, 2017). The spoken language divides humans from different regions. Words are barriers between people which give humans the illusion that different people with different cultures and from different regions cannot relate with each other. Sometimes people look down upon people who cannot use the spoken words correctly. Similarly, words can be used to hurt others. People who are not able to speak similar languages are normally looked down upon in different societies (Moore, 2017). If there were no spoken language, there would be no discrimination against people based on language differences. I believe that if there were no spoken language, the world would be a better place for different people to develop more meaningful experiences, relationships, and deeper emotions. Also, the experiences within the human race would be more intense impactful and more thought out. While people would still have hatred, grudges, and lies through the actions, it would be difficult to bring them out without saying or typing them.
