Caron says that In America, the issue of abortion remains a point of controversial discussion with both proponents and opponents giving their views to support or discourage all case of abortion on the society (498). American View of Abortion

America has suffered different position on matters abortion. There is a general diverse view both in support and against the practice of abortion by the society. There is a widespread ethical discussion that surrounds the issues of abortion. There is an outstanding dispute over the legalization of the abortion practices by the court of appeal in the year 1973 ( Caron, 498) . The conflict, in this case, is pegged on the battle of its future and its overall religious and ethical beliefs and practices.

Religious Stand

The American religious belief, being predominantly Christian has a different stand on matters abortion. The feeling of the rights to life by all, including the unborn, is one case that needs to be investigated and reviewed by the country. There is a general feeling of the Christian community that abortion is an infringement on the rights of the minority to enjoy life. Intensively has been the anti-abortion campaign that the clergy has proposed for the longer prison terms for the violators.

Political Stand

During his campaign in the year 2008, Barrack Obama was adamant about his support for the abortion for mothers and prospective parents who would otherwise need it. According to Caron (498), t he political stand was on the premise of health concern for the mothers who would stand to lose their lives in the case of dangerous pregnancies. Politics of populism has driven the political players to take a stand on the controversial matters including abortion and same-sex marriages for the benefits of gaining votes for the isolated group of citizens.

Legal Stand

The Supreme Court that handed legal relief to matters abortion has been disseminated further by subsequent laws that dwell deeper into this subject matter. Several bills have been generated to regulate when and if it is necessary to execute abortion. The most and foremost legal permission for this issue is on the premise of hospital requirements and physician recommendation for abortion on their patients ( Caron, 498) . The Gestational Limit (43) is founded that abortion is permitted if it is pegged on saving the life of the mother.

The ethical aspects of the abortion issue have foundation on the fact that not all cases of abortion are legitimate. For this reason, it is essential to have an active group of social players who would stand to fight abortion executed for the sake of it and no apparent compelling reason. From the religious and overall health matters, it is unethical to carry abortion for petty reasons such as unpreparedness of the mother to give birth.
