There is no doubt that the issue of abortion has tormented the American society for over four decades. Over time, the subject has been politicized and also undergone a lot of changes with previously conservative states seeking to adopt this into their way of life while others are still adamant to take up the issue. One of the most popular interests groups dealing with matters pertaining to abortion is the pro-choice group which has come up with many tactics to push through its agenda as will be clearly illustrated in the course of this analysis.

One of the main aims of prochoice is to ensure that women get access to safe abortion, which in most cases occurs as a result of wanted pregnancies that end up not being successful owing to complications. This is according to an article in the New York Times on Feb. 10 this year, decrying prochoice` agenda on women rights on the issue of abortion ( Katz, 2018 ). One of the tactics used by the lobbyist groups is popularization of their agenda by partaking in social media campaigns seeking to get approval from like-minded individuals. Besides this, partaking in peaceful demonstrations seeking to compel Congress to vote for their agendas happens to be another popular tactic.

Prochoice never runs out of options when deciding on the most efficacious approach to use. Besides the above mentioned methods, the group has been known to sponsor lawsuits leveled against members or certain vulnerable individuals especially those relating to abortion. Another clever tactic used, has been to donate campaign money to politicians who are in support of their itineraries. This has been made possible through the political action committee created by the interests group ( Jackson & Valentine, 2017 ). Besides this, communication via internet and e-mails sent to Congressional members is also another popular incentive used.

It is apparent as illustrated above that Prochoice is indeed one of the most strategic abortion social interests groups in the United States. The organization aims at restoring women rights by advocating for the adoption of laws supporting abortion. Through its social media campaigns it has become easier for the group to reach out to individuals. Besides, it is evident that the group sponsors political candidates in support of their ideas and also stages demonstrations in addition to the lawsuits it has been known to sponsor. This is indeed one of the most active groups in the American society currently that has the best tactics which have the ability to influence both the President and Congress.
