For any student to be permitted to participate in a senior athletic competition they must have advanced as per the selection procedure as well as classified as stipulated by the standing ruling which guides such programs. Students who do not showcase decent performance may also face penalties which can entail reduced access to practice or even participate in athletic competitions (O’Hara, 1980). The students are, therefore, expected to provide health information which helps in determining if their involvement in the sport can adversely impact their academic performance. The following students are at risk of losing eligibility in participating in sports if they fall under the following groups. Students who fail in two or more subjects will have to be placed on Academic Athletic Restriction and might be faced with multiple punishments comprising of limitations to exercises as well as being restricted from athletic competitions (Mike, 2018). Students who do not satisfy the medical conditions that are set by the athletic board will also be termed to be illegible to participate in the game. The medical history given by the student will help in the determination of their ability to participate in the game without having a greater risk of being injured. For instance, the school will pay attention to the fact that the young people are susceptible to head injuries or concussions.
