All human beings undergo a process of behavior development that influences character formation. The course has generally dealt with behavior analysis, and one can establish that an individual’s behavior is physically and cognitively influenced. The experiments of popular psychologists such as Ivan Pavlov and B.F Skinner have played a major role in establishing behavior formation. In his classical conditioning experiment, Ivan Pavlov established that his dog would salivate whenever it could hear the caregiver’s footsteps or upon viewing any object that it could associate with food. The dog had learned a new behavior through associating an object with food, salivating (Zhao et al., 2021) . The discovery was later advanced by Watson, whereby he expounded on how behavior is developed by associating an unconditioned stimulus, which is responsible for a certain response with a new stimulus(conditioned) such that the conditioned stimulus leads to a similar response.
Cognitive behavior modification (CBM) is another interesting topic that has enlightened me much concerning character development, enabling me to unravel the reason for the varying knowledge of learners and the different levels of concept grasping in the learning process. CBM is a therapeutic technique that would help every individual learner to determine the undesirable self-talk and transform from the unwanted behaviors (Rossiianov & Seay, 2017) . It begins by self-observation, where an individual pays attention to his/her inner conversation and monitors their behaviors (Warwick et al., 2017) . Afterward, the individuals usher in new self-talk that could be considered more desirable than the previous one and progressively learn new skills to help them grow to the desirable self.

The course delved into biological, pharmacological, and experimental determinants that help determine people and animals’ behavior. Behavior analysts have been noted to lay interest in discovering the factors that influence the behavior of humans, and the discoveries have been considered crucial tools in obtaining desirable behavior or improving the existing behavior (Rafi et al., 2020) . Therefore, the findings from the behavior analysis have been ascertained to be applicable, especially in addressing the significant behaviors in the social context such as the abuse of drugs, indulging in a proper diet, education, and the care relevant for the pervading developmental disabilities such autism.
