There have many attempts to make utopia but have failed as they were based on social theory ( Kaplan ). A perfect society where everyone is equal through collective ownership, authoritarian rule, sharing communal work and ability to control economy. This is against nature since humans as imperfect species cannot cohabit a perfect society without causing some sort of imperfection. To overcome this failure in order to achieve different utopia, people should act and live according to their belief as long as they try to harmonize differences by aiming at minimizing inequalities that do exist in the society ( Allington and Anne ). Besides, people should strive for a better living instead of a perfect life. Steps towards achievable utopia should not be accelerated but should be progressive according to nature.
Obstacles to socialist utopia are that progress is not guaranteed and neither is it irreversible. In the past, attempts to achieve utopia led to instances where a person would kill a person to save others and attempts to make perfect humans by wiping out an entire race or community who were perceived as unfit. Besides, the current society is governed by rules, social tolerance and global exchange. Moreover, the world can never be a perfect place but it can be made better as days pass by ( Subrahmanian ).

Socialism is a perfect socioeconomic system. Socialism attempts to equalize social classes by ensuring that the basic needs of every individual are met and that wealth is fairly distributed to all members of the community. Besides, it seeks to improve the conditions in which humans live and empowering individuals to improve their lives by voluntarily co-operating with others. Socialism has brought about free markets which have been primarily responsible for the elevation of human conditions (Dixon, Kevin and Colin).
