This article has its primary focus on the behavior of teens and the relationship between teens' behavior and their immediate environment. It also elucidates the different mistaken goals that perhaps cause belligerent behavior amongst growing teens. Through an Overview of the Dreikurs' scheme, the article also provides the readers with a guide to becoming a competent and effective counselor. It also provides a discussion on methods that mental counselors should use for efficacy when attending belligerent children. Besides, the article also enumerates various approaches that mental health counselors should embrace for a peaceful and productive approach while helping children improve their behaviors. By providing a brief discussion on Adlerian psychology, the article attempts to bring forth a better understanding of the causes of teen behaviors, the possible causes of a sudden change in teens' behaviors, and various ways mental councilors should use effectively impact teens during counseling sessions. 

The article also tackles the behavioral influences among teens; areas of interest emphasized in the article include mistaken goals while establishing a teen's presence. Some teens get discouraged because of lacking hope in life; this results in pursuing any goal in life, whether legal or illegal. As per the article's articulations, four primary common goals contribute to children's behavior. These particular four cornerstones of children's behavior are the defense mechanisms that children with mistaken behavior use to feel a sense of belonging. The mistaken goals include; seeking for attention, seek for power, revenge, and assumed Inadequacy. In conclusion, the case study summarizes with a case study implying how a mental counselor uses the Adlerian theory of understanding children's behavior to come up with a positive solution that impacted the teens' (Ron) behavior positively.
