The selected briefings were those of the American vice president addressing the coronavirus task force on the 3 rd and 6 th of March 2020, respectively. The presentations were made in an active voice, and were detailed to offer the required information to the public ( The White House, n.d.). Even though they were presented well, in the question segments, sometimes the parties lacked the required information to pass to the public. The lack of clarity depicted a lack of proper preparedness. The briefing could have been better if the addressing individuals were prepared enough to offer brief but precise information about the issue of coronavirus. If I were a policy analyst, I would emphasize the brevity and clarity of the press briefings to enhance the understanding and satisfaction of the audience concerning the issue of coronavirus. Policy papers can be used to elaborate on methods to solve available issues as they state the implications of ignoring the problems until later timelines. Also, the police issue papers offer a range of courses of action to go about the problem in question. The downside of the police issue papers is the fact that they assume different forms that cannot be instantly understood by the targeted audience. Therefore, they are time-consuming. Additionally, these papers lack the required facts of the previous policies. They leave the audience hanging, and as such, they add to the burden of the already existing problem. The presenter of these policies benefits from the policy issue papers as he/she not only highlights the problem but offers an array of courses of action to the audience. However, in cases where additional information is required to enhance the understanding of the audience, the presenter finds it difficult to refer to the previous policies. For instance, in the current case of coronavirus, the viewer may seek to understand the government courses of action in the past regarding such epidemics, but lack of such information may not give the audience the confidence they need about the information in the policy papers. Uncertain political changes and continuous population changes are significant challenges facing public policy analysts in the current environment. The increase in population leads to increased political reforms, which directly impact the policies achieved by the authorities. Thus, policy analysts are confronted with the task of proofing the reliability of the current policies in the broad environment. An increase in population and changes in policies means an increase in the magnitude of documents that analysts have to analyze and interpret the current policies. These challenges are bound to proceed in the future for the next 10 to 20 years. The best way to handle the bulk of work related to these changes in the current and future environment is by embracing digitalization and keeping up with the current trends. These will simplify the analyzing and interpretation process. Also, to reach the vast population, analysts should embrace social media platforms rather than manual presentations.
