Communication is the backbone of any organization. Any firm's success is based on the effectiveness of the management and the general workforce in communication. Information is passed from one person to another through various channels such as the use of mobile phones. Organizations have different levels of communication like verbal, physical, and auditory levels of communication. The exchange of information by people through a medium is of great importance. One of the importance of effective communication is to enable organizational managers to perform basic management roles such as planning, leading the people, organizing, and controlling workers. This paper focuses on how employees and their managers use effective communication to provide quality goods and services and maintain a healthy relationship among them in reference to Pike's Fish Market Video Case.
Effective communication is integral to institutions, companies, and firms. Together with organizational management, employees have a role to play to ensure the provision of quality goods and services (Suen, 2019). A good working relationship between workers and their employers creates a good working environment. Consequently, customers are attracted to shop in an organized firm since there are high-quality goods. Referring to the video clip Pike's Fish Market, it is crystal clear that effective communication skills are employed between the workforce, including casual laborers, and the entire management (MacLean & Luchtman, 2003). Good communication enables the employees to open up to their juniors on the problems and share their thoughts on the possible solutions.

There are several ways of passing information from one individual to another. Furthermore, apart from making a speech, people can communicate using facial expressions, gestures, writing, touch, and eye contact (Wang & Li, 2016). Passing information is one thing but understanding what is being said is another concept. Pike's Fish Market is one of the largest fish shops, and its fame is known far and wide (Blekic & Knepler, 2019). The managers and employees engage a high level of emotional intelligence when communicating. Emotion intelligence is the managers' ability and the employees to understand and control their emotions and avoid effective communication. As a consequence, therein, there is the production of quality goods.
Secondly, the managers and their employees pass information among them clearly and concisely. Clarity and concisely result in cohesion in an organization, which give rise to good decision making (Kang, Heo & Kim, 2016). As a result, a business increases its productivity not only in quantity but also the quality. Respect is another crucial element in effective communication skills. Notably, the feeling of strong admiration for someone is two-way traffic. The junior in organizations, including the casual workers and secretaries, ought to have the utmost respect for their seniors, including the organization managers.
Respect is achieved of empathy that is putting into consideration and respecting other people's point of view. Empathy gives rise to listening, whereby an individual takes time to hear another person's opinion and clarification and pay close attention to it ( Finley,2015). Tonal variation is the key element in setting the mode of a conversation. When engaging with a customer, the tone variation should be calm, and one should be friendly. Friendliness helps individuals set the right tone towards their colleagues, the seniors in an organization, and the customers.
In conclusion, it is vital to note that communication skills should be employed in any business. Effective communication can be between the employees and their manager or between the workers and the customers. Employer and employees relationship should be friendly to create a good working environment while producing quality goods. I relation to customers, a worker should use the right tone to avoid losing their buyers. Additionally, good listening and understanding should be employed to avoid misunderstanding, resulting in poor services.
