Commitment to positive social change remains crucial for me an individual. There are many challenges within the global social sphere that demand contribution from humanity. As a member of Walden University, I view myself an advocate of this course through my participation in championing affordable healthcare for all and environmentally friendly policies and practices (Walden University n.d.). In this paper, I will delve into these aspects and conclude with their significance.
Positive Social Change Course
Affordable health care for every citizen remains a primary role for governments. My desire to promote this course stems from opposition from some quarters as regards to this plan. I champion this course on online platforms including social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter and through blogs (Lefebvre, 2013). I endeavor to ensure that individuals learn and understand the suffering of those that cannot pay for hefty health insurance bills. Championing environmental friendly policies and practices stemmed from climatic changes that we experience today (Komives & Wagner, 2012). I engage this course through encouraging my immediate neighbors to apply eco-friendly approaches such as conserving water, heat, and separation of waste. Additionally, online platforms have provided me an opportunity to promote this vision of a sustainable environment.
