In the wake of September 11, a day which remains on the minds of the people as far as security issues are concerned. Terrorist attacks were not common in America, but they were being witnessed in other nations (Chang, 2011) . Therefore, after the attack of pentagon and trade towers had occurred, people realized that they were not secured as they had thought. About 19 terrorists managed to breach security checkpoints and board four unsuspecting commercial airlines. This act of the terrorism left a scar, and it affected civil liberties of most people in the United States of America (Mueller, & Stewart, 2012) .
This attack interfered with the civil liberty of the people since the administration was making efforts to limit public knowledge of its actions on national security. Additionally, it has been established that some of the counterterrorism policies are placing basic freedom at stake. This is likely to lead to a massive violation of civil liberties (Mueller, & Stewart, 2012) . For example, there is a constitutional protection of civil liberties, which contains rights of immigrants, which provides much more resilient as compared to the past period. Looking at the civil liberty of the United States it is evident that the country has changed since early times of war (Chang, 2011) .
