Sadie’s situation can be described by ambivalent attachment style based on the work of Bowlby and Ainsworth. It is important to understand attachment styles of a child or a person to assist the growth of a person or a child positively. In the case of Sadie, she has behaviors that cannot go well with others and may bring detrimental impacts. Therefore, understanding her scenario is helpful at finding the best possible solution for helping her with her social life. In Sadie’s case study, she faced signs of abuse at a younger age such as rape-a situation of social reciprocity-and as a result, she cannot equally love other people due to her fear. She does not know who to like.

A child can only grow while imitating those things she sees around, something that Sadie lacked. Her parents were drunkards and abusive; thus, she did not learn anything substantial at a younger age. There is not much of social interaction of a child less than ten years, but they learn through seeing and trusting people. She needed to start to recognize people at the age of two and start liking people, and in three years she is supposed to begin understanding the emotions of others. Her temperament situation stems from her past experiences and can be corrected while temper cannot be modified. Therefore, the case can be solved by understanding love and affection and being close to her. She can be protected through love and affection.
