In my opinion, the American dream of social mobility is a reality and therefore should not be regarded as a myth. Over the past years, many foreigners have migrated into the country for one purpose, to pursue the American dream. For many decades, the US has shown an immense ability over other countries in entire Europe and Asia in promoting social mobility where people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds end up moving to better and stable socioeconomic statuses in the course of their lives. America, more than any other country, has provided many opportunities for this change and therefore, it should not be regarded as a myth but rather a reality.
In principle, several factors can be used to explain the social mobility that is only witnessed in the US. The likelihood of an individual to get a good education despite the social class of their parents is an important factor in promoting their social mobility. Another factor that promotes social mobility in the country is the presence of a myriad of opportunities including jobs in the industries, corporate field, business opportunities, and the prospects of a large income. The fact that the American culture is based on meritocracy is another critical factor that has enhanced social mobility as every action is based on merit.

Another factor that supports the fact that the American dream of social mobility is not a myth is because various other countries have shown little or no capacity to promote social mobility on its citizens. Among the countries include Canada amidst other in Europe and Asia which have attracted fewer people from other nations because they do not promote the lives of people for the better. Social mobility is still evident in the United States and will continue to go on the decades to come.
