The first piece shows a woman standing close to a table, and she seems to be deep in thought. There are alcoholic drinks and people at the background which could indicate that the woman is a waiter, serving the guests at the party. The painting was done in an elegant party, as seen from the room that has been used. The chandarea, for instance, was only found in the high ranking people parties (Leavy, 2015). The types of alcoholic drinks on the table could only be afforded by the wealthy. In addition, there are maidens that can be seen, for serving purposes.

A Bar at the Folies-Bergère Painting by Édouard Manet

The second piece of art shows a young woman butchering a man in bed using a knife and an old woman who seems to be encouraging the young woman. The image shows that the man was caught unawares since it was at night, he is in bed and undressed. The two women are fully dressed which shows they must have moved in while the man slept. The young woman appears to fear as seen from her facial expression. The old woman does not show fear at all, and she is holding a piece of cloth, which would be used to cover the man after killing him.

Caravaggio : The Original Sinner

The third piece is religious where Mary the mother of Jesus is seen holding her son after his execution and holding one hand out as if she is praying for him. The sculpture appears to be carved out of ceramics (Jonson, 2017). The background appears to be dark clouds which could be signifying loss, pain, and grief. The piece reflects the period after Jesus died and his mother was left with grief due to the loss.

Michelangelo: Pieta

The fourth piece of art is an image taken using a camera. It depicts a woman who appears to be facing poverty, and she is deep in thought. She holds a young child and the other two children are leaning on her. It shows that the children are depending on the woman, yet she does not have anything such as food to give to the children. It can be seen that the family is economically disadvantaged as they are wearing tattered clothes. The woman appears as if she is waiting for someone to bring help to her.

The Story of the "Migrant Mother" | Antiques Roadshow

The fifth art is a drawing of a man, in the company of four women, some naked and others partially naked. There are some fruits on the table, and it is an indication that these people were having fun. The piece could be describing the nude art, which indicates the beauty of women and women as well as life pleasures. It could also be used to show the immorality in society, where men would have several sexual partners (Kaufman & Beghetto, 2009). The art could also be interpreted as men having the power to have several sexual partners without being questioned.

Les Demoiselles d'Avignon by Pablo Picasso

The last piece shows some kitchenware made of ceramics. The jars are decorated which shows that they belonged to a wealthy family since they could not be afforded by anyone. There is also a bow which is holding some fruits, which shows the purpose it was made for. There are different colors and flowers used in making the jaws which are expressing the beauty of the pieces.
