The World Bank classified developing counties based on the income level. There are two categories, namely the low-income counties and the lower-middle-income countries. Kenya is one of the lower-middle-income countries that is facing challenges with an increase in population growth. The main challenge that arises from population increase in the encroachment of the natural habitats and natural resources. There is an increase in human activities such as mining, fishing, and cutting down trees to satisfy the high cost of living. Such actions have led to the release of greenhouse gases that are very dangerous to human life. The paper will cover three sections, including background information on greenhouse gases, problems resulting from Emission, and the possible solution to deal with the issue in the developing country identified. Kenya is a country located in East Africa and the 48th largest country in the world. According to the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS), the country's population is approximately 47 million as of the 2019 fiscal year. The amount is 10% from the 2009 census population, about 37 million (Kenya National Bureau of Statistics, 4, n.p). A key solution to the problem of greenhouse gas emission in the country is policy creation and implementation.
Section I: Background
Global warming refers to an increase in the Earth's temperature for more extended periods. Since there is an increase in greenhouse gases, there are effects on the cold, climate change, and water resources. The burning of fossil fuels, including coal, is the leading cause of global warming. Global warming is a combination of sociological and technological factors and environmental factors (Butler, 1, p. 4). Studies have indicated an increase in temperature and humidity has increased by hospital admission for stress and behavior disorder. The wildlife has been affected by global warming in various aspects. The temperature changes have resulted in the Migration of animals from one geographical location to another (Saklani and Khurana, 5, p. 25). For instance, the birds and butterflies have moved to North America and Europe due to high temperatures.

Carbon (IV) dioxide and Methane are the primary greenhouse gases that result in global warming. The gases are emitted from human activities and industries. Manufacturing companies release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, and humans have been in the fore form of deforestation. Trees use the emitted carbon dioxide for photosynthesis, but the gases move to the atmosphere in their absence. There creates a barrier in the Ozone Layer such that they can allow light to pass through but the gases a trapped. Thus, there is an increase in the atmospheric temperature as the radiant heat from the Earth's surface cannot escape. The emitted gases are responsible for creating the barriers that prevent the radiant heat from leaving the Earth's surface. The process's outcomes are an increase in global warming, which is very dangerous to human lives. The same applies to other human activities such as the burning of fossils and coal as there is an increase in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
Section II: How Emission causes Problems for the Developing Country
China is the world's leading country producing greenhouse gases standing at 44,815.54 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent. The amount is slightly higher than that of the United States, the second leading producer of greenhouse gases standing at 10,975.50 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (World Economic Forum, 6, n.p). The amount is high in China because of the numerous industrial activities taking place in the country. For instance, the United States has been shipping its waste materials to China for recycling. The process requires energy, which will lead to the Emission of carbon dioxide.
One of the key economic challenges of Emission is high standards of living. For instance, in Kenya, there has been an increasing concern among the people living close to Lake Victoria. People around the region largely depend on fishing as their main economic activity. However, global warming has moved to no longer be dependable as a source of living. The high heat resulting from global warming has made fish migrate to the north of the river Nile where the temperatures and cool.
Security challenges from global warming result from measures that the government is trying to put in place. For instance, the Kenyan Government has been steadfast in ensuring humans are not encroaching water bodies and the foresters. There has been an increase in conflict and loss of life in the Mau forest, where the Kenya government wants every citizen residing inside the forest to vacate (Humans Right Watch, 3, n.p). There has been security tension in the forest area because of the government policy not to infringe the forest. Residents are claiming that the eviction is against their rights. The government stipulates that there is a need to conserve the forest to deal with global warming.
Another challenge of global warming is political inclination. People have taken different stands on the issue and the measures that are being put in place. For instance, in Kenya, people from the Mau forest's eviction to deal with global warming has been a heated debate among politicians. Representatives of the people living close to Mau Forest are against the eviction action. They claim that the government can use alternative solutions to deal with the issue (Humans Rights Watch, 3, n.p). However, the government strongly suggests no solution if the people keep cutting down the trees to create residents' areas. Motions have been raised in the Kenya parliament to find a solution to the problem. However, there is still a challenge up to date on the best solution.
Section III: Causes and Solution of Greenhouse Gases
Deforestation is the leading cause of global warming. Trees play a crucial role in removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Human activities such as the creation of industries and settlements have destroyed forests. As the population increases, there is a need for more space for people to reside. There is pressure on forest reserves for people to get settlement areas. Another cause of global warming is industrialization. There is an increase in the number of industries that emit poisonous gases into the atmosphere.
The issue of human's negative impact on the environment is both political and scientific. Thus, the solutions that need to be put in place need to be both political and scientific. Politically, there is a need to create policies and laws that will prevent humans from harming the environment. The procedures and regulations need to clearly state that a person is prohibited from polluting the environment (Hayes et al., 2, p. 9). Pollution of the environment can occur in several ways, such as dumping waste into water bodies. There should be financial penalties for anyone found violating the law. Equally, there is a need to create programs that will be centered on cleaning the environment. The schedule should be community-based for each member of society to take the role of cleaning the environment. Scientifically, there is a need to create biodegradable products that will not harm the environment. For instance, manufacturing companies need to focus on ways that they can recycle their waste. Also, they should use reusable materials for packaging their products. There is a need to plant more trees as a way of curbing the situation. Industrialization and naturalization should be simultaneous for successful control of global warming in the environment. As industries cut down trees and burn fossils, they should plant another tree. For instance, in Kenya, it is recommended that ten more need be grown as a replacement for any cut-down tree.
A control in the population will make it easy to deal with the greenhouse emission issue. There will be less overreliance on the environment. The high population is putting pressure on industries for the production of food that will satisfy their utility. If the population is low, there will be less production to meet the consumer's demand and thus less Emission to the environment.
Conclusion
In conclusion, global warming is a result of climate change, such as an increase in temperature. The climate changes result from human activities like cutting down the tree and leaving the Earth's surface bare. There are several negative implications of global warming, which can either be directly or indirectly. Some of the direct impacts include death and destruction of property. Indirect impacts include the stress of dealing with the lost love one and being displaced from their homes. The effects of global warming affect humans as it destroys the animal's habitat, which will now have to move and co-exist with the humans in their places of residence. The United Nations can inform future policies in dealing with global warming through the general public's sensitization. People need to be aware of their roles when dealing with addressing the issue of global warming.
