The images that interest me is the Renaissances. This type of art is very beautiful since it portrays humanism and the uniqueness every individual. The artists seem to be challenging the traditional belief of the church authority and rather believed in observation and experience to explain things. The images promote secularism and they concentrate on human nature rather than imaginary religious characters or the life after. The detailing and expression of thoughts in these images are very wonderful.
As I look at these images I ask myself a couple of questions which sometimes I can’t seem to get the answers. Like what motivated the artist to make the painting? What is the artist trying to express? What could be the political and social situations leading to such an art? Maybe as am going to read through the chapter, I am going to find answers to the couple of questions I always get when I look at the artistic images.
